Tech Savvy Rich and Famous

How tech savvy these rich and famous are. let us examine what type of tech gadgets are being used by these celebrities. Recently there had been a big debate going on the blogs of Amitabh Bachchan and Amir Khan. Obviously it became a talk of the town.

Shahrukh Khan

SRK is known to be nutty about gadgets and gizmos. Shahrukh Khan is supposed to be pretty well stacked in the video game department, has a retro juke-box with super sound, and is believed to video conference regularly.

He has set up Red Chillies-VFX, which he once told is “a technology company manned by mad young people” with a server provided by Hewlett-Packard that "looks like a Ferrari.'' Redchillies.vfx is a post-production studio speciallising in visual effects for feature films and commercials. And yes, he actually uses a Nokia Communicator and is supposed to be a dab hand at texting (nary a stutter there!).

Christina Applegate

Christina who got an Emmy for her guest appearance in Friends is actually a compulsive gaming freak? And she's platform independent too!

At last count, she had an Xbox, a PlayStation and a Wii in her possession and had confessed to being utterly addicted to Guitar Hero. This one clearly believes that life's a game to be played on gadgets.

John Mayer

He may love his music, but we are sure gadgets don't play second fiddle. The man was able to get his hands on a Macbook Air before us lesser humans even had a chance to ogle it.

Now he seems to have done exactly the same with the BlackBerry Bold (no, it ain't out in the market but it sure is in Mayer's hands). Of course, he had to rub it in by talking about it on his web site.

Lisa Loeb

The singer-songwriter has a hard time deciding which phone to use. And unlike many of us (this writer included), she is not unduly impressed with the Apple iPhone because she is waiting for something with a flash.

And she is sticking to her BlackBerry Curve because she likes to type on real buttons and not a virtual keypad, although she does find transferring pictures from it to her MacBook Pro a bit of a pain.

Yeah, yeah, she happens to be a Mac freak too. This is by no means a comprehensive list.
